ABOUT
MY STORY
Walid Chaya is an actor, director, and educator whose work spans film, theatre, and arts education, with a career rooted in storytelling, mentorship, and creative leadership. His journey began at age four, when he went backstage at a Lebanese musical production of Romeo and Juliet and first experienced the power of storytelling from behind the curtain. That moment sparked a lifelong path rooted in performance and creation.
Now based in Los Angeles, with professional roots in the Washington, DC and New York markets, Walid works across film, theatre, and arts education. His foundation includes conservatory-style training centered on on-camera performance and stage craft, along with professional affiliations with SAG-AFTRA and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
He has also participated as a director in SpringBoardNYC, an initiative created by the American Theatre Wing, and today works as an entertainment entrepreneur—developing original projects and educational programs with a clear focus: telling stories, shaping artists, and creating impact.
