LESSON PLANS FOR VIP M'SAADA NIA

Agenda:

- Course & Topic Intro/Lecture Instructor will prepare students for a scene study focusing on acting with film and television scripts and the audition process. Students will understand what it takes to create a character and deliver an audition that books the job.

- Scene work with coaching and redirection

Students will engage in an intensive scene study and should prepare a film/television scene or monologue. If performing a scene, a 'reader' will be provided by the studio to read with the student. Format A: The instructor will assign students a scene to prepare. The scene will be emailed to the students 1-2 days in advance.

Format B: The student will pick a scene of their choice from film/TV. Scenes should be no longer than two minutes OR a monologue no longer than one-minute. M'saada will watch and then coach and give adjustments to each performer in a group setting. She will also discuss the evolving process of virtual auditions, in-person casting and what it's like to audition and work to set in Los Angeles and beyond.

- Question & Answer Session Students will participate in a dynamic group Q&A session. All answers reflect the instructors' specific opinions.

- Goal Setting & Wrap Up

The instructor will share closing remarks with a brief recap on frequently addressed acting notes and industry topics studied during the class session.
