LESSON PLANS FOR VIP JORDAN BASS
Agenda / Students will learn:
Opening: Short bio and introduction of instructor
Question & Answer Session: Students are encouraged to ask any relevant questions about auditioning, self-taping, demo reels, headshots, or the ‘business’ in general.
*Note: All answers reflect instructors specific opinions.
Cold-Reading: For classes studying "cold-reads," instructor will provide each student with a unique scene tailored to his/her/their ‘type’. Students will be given approximately 15 minutes to prepare the assigned scene. Each student will work one-on-one, reading the scene with teacher, and receive specific and constructive feedback.
Prepared Sides: For classes studying "prepared sides," instructor will provide each student with a unique scene tailored to his/her/their ‘type’ 1-2 days in advanced. Students should prepare the assigned scene to their best ability. Each student will work one-on-one, reading the scene with teacher, and receive specific and constructive feedback.
*Setting: In a classroom setting, both online and in-person, other students will watch the feedback and redirection in order to maximize the learning environment – students can learn just as much watching others work as they can from working themselves.
Closing: Scenes are to be returned to the instructor. No headshots, resumes or promotional materials will be given to the instructor. Jordan will provide feedback and/or re-directs whenever possible. He will not be taking the headshots, but actors should still bring them so he can provide feedback and comments on both pictures and resumes.
