"On Friday, August 11th, at 3:15 pm, the Providence REC studio in Falls Church, VA, will come alive with the magic of theater and the energy of young performers.
At the heart of this production are the brilliant minds of Walid Chaya and co-writer Jimmy Monack. This dynamic writing duo has spent the last decade collaborating on children’s stories for both stage and screen, with several of their works earning awards and international acclaim. “The Greatest ShowKid” first graced the stage at Moonlit Wings’ summer camps in 2019, and since then, it has undergone a transformation to include new elements with global appeal and a diverse cast.
The success of this heartwarming children’s play has led Chaya and Monack to embark on a new venture — a TV Pilot adaptation, currently in development. Their passion for creating entertainment that reflects the diversity of our communities, featuring children and adults from all backgrounds and abilities, shines through their work.
